You would have to be some kind of super villain not to find dogs and puppies fun and adorable, a playful, affectionate pet to keep you company for years of your life. Without a doubt, there is a lot to consider if you are a first time puppy purchaser. Remember, some dogs, though very gentle and loving, can grow to enormous proportions and can very easily accidentally injure a small child or even an elderly person. If you do have any young children, it may be worthwhile considering one of the smaller breeds like a Bichon Frise or a Jack Russell, both of which are fun and affectionate.
