They are outgoing, friendly and sociable. This breed is not as noisy as the Burmese or as laid back as the Persian. Burmillas make an excellent companion and would be recommended to an owner who likes the look of a Burmese but is unable to cope with the demands made by it. The Burmilla is Ideal for first time cat owners. Grooming The Burmilla doesn’t require massive amounts of grooming. A weekly brush is sufficient for this breed. History The Burmilla was created by crossing a male Chinchilla Persian and a Lilac Burmese in the UK in 1981. The names' Burmese and Chinchilla were combined to create the name for the gentle and agile Burmilla.
