General

Weight: Between 5 and 7 kg
Description: Very dense and silky white fur, with eyes of an Albino rabbit; pink with easily visible blood vessels. Their ears are thick in fur and strongly upright, ending in a spoon-like tip.

The Blanc de Bouscat is a very supple and lively rabbit.

Grooming

Since the lustrous hair of the Blanc de Bouscat can grow up to 4cm in length, it is important to regularly groom the rabbit in order to avoid any matting.

History

This rabbit was first bred in 1906 in Bouscat in the South-East of France, near Bordeaux, by cross-breeding the Argente Champagne, the Angora and the Flanders Giant rabbit to create a large breed with incredibly soft fur.
