Description: a very compact rabbit with small, erect ears, usually white with another colour.

Characteristics
Dutch rabbits are known for having a very laid back and calm nature, making them ideal pets. They enjoy a lot of attention.

Grooming
The Dutch rabbit requires brushing at least once a week with a brush that is rabbit orientated. During shedding seasons the Dutch rabbit may require brushing more often.

History
The Dutch rabbit was originally developed in England for meat and has roots in the much older rabbit breed Petite Brabancon from the Nertherlands which had similar markings. The Dutch rabbit was bred by perfecting these markings. Dutch rabbits were later bred to be pets.
