Characteristics
The Swiss Fox rabbit is a very docile, gentle rabbit though it’s very long fur can be difficult to manage. They do make very good household pets, though wouldn’t be appropriate for children due to their very long fur.

Grooming
The long fur Swiss Fox rabbits require a lot of maintenance and attention. It requires frequent brushing with the right kind of brush or comb. If not properly cared for, the Swiss Fox rabbit may suffer from skin problems.

History
The  Swiss Fox was first developed in Switzerland by Mr. Müller by crossing Hanava rabbits and Angora rabbits. The breed wasn’t recognised until 1925 and was named the "Schweizer Fuchskaninchen". They were later recognised in the Netherlands in 1933 after Herr Leifer bred Angora rabbits and Chinchilla rabbits. Swiss Fox rabbits tend to be bred for their looks.
